New York State’s School Tax Relief Program (NYS STAR)

STAR is New York State’s School Tax Relief Program that provides a partial property tax exemption from the school taxes to eligible homeowners.

Payment Schedule

10/04/2024 – Full payment or first installment.

11/01/2024 – REC’D BY 2%

12/06/2024 – REC’D BY 3%

01/03/2025 – Second installment due or REC’D by = 4%

Paying Your School Taxes

Taxes can be paid online. For card payments, the fee is 2.65% of their transaction total or a $3 minimum charge (whichever is higher). For online checks (eChecks), the fee is a flat $1.50.
